Psychotic Surge is a cultural and educational project. It is not a health service. No licensed professional is involved. No psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, social worker, or clinician produces, reviews, supervises, or endorses this work. Nothing published here is diagnosis, screening, treatment, therapy, clinical advice, or a second opinion on anyone's care.

This is not a support line or a crisis service. We do not operate a helpline, a hotline, a warmline, a peer-support service, or a moderated support community. We do not monitor messages, comments, or inboxes continuously, and we cannot respond to urgent needs. Messages may go unread for days.

What we actually do. We produce sound, images, printed artifacts, and written research. We run non-clinical educational programs on digital culture and AI literacy. We publish evidence about how automated language systems compress, penalise, and discard forms of speech and cognition that do not fit their models. Our contribution is cultural and educational — nothing else.

On lived experience. Parts of this work are informed by lived experience of altered states and psychiatric systems. Lived experience is a legitimate source of knowledge. It is not clinical expertise, and it does not generalise. One person's account of their own mind is not a description of yours. Do not start, stop, or change any treatment on the basis of anything published here. That decision belongs to you and the professionals you trust.

On the artistic material. Some of this work uses the vocabulary of delirium, interception, transmission, and altered perception as artistic form. It is authored, deliberate, and edited. It is not a live record of anyone in crisis, not an instruction, and not a model for anyone's experience.
